Perez handed three-place grid penalty
What happened?
Sergio Perez has been penalised three grid places for failing to leave the track with serious danger at the end of Q2.
The Mexican driver was on a flying lap when he lost control of his Red Bull car at Turn 9. He went off the track and through the gravel, before rejoining the track at Turn 11.
The stewards deemed that Perez's actions were dangerous, as he could have easily collided with another car.
The penalty means that Perez will start Sunday's race in 16th place, instead of 13th.
